Jay Maloney tells Keith Simon of KCME 88.7 FM about his WWII father, Joe Maloney’s letters written in 1942, from Guadalcanal. One day they showed up on Jay’s door step, in shoe box. This opened up a whole new past Jay knew very little about. The letters tell of his father’s time in Guadalcanal. From Mists of Time’s Patty Butler Spiers produced a documentary telling the story.
